Statement of Services - Retirement Plans

Our statement of services provides a framework of the scope of the services we can be engaged to perform, both fiduciary and non-fiduciary in nature. All fiduciary tasks, which are marked by an asterisk, will be performed by Bill Shank of H. Beck, Inc.. under Section 3(21)(a)(ii) of ERISA. All other tasks will be performed by either Jennifer P. Beason or Bill Shank.

Initial Services

  • *Review of existing fiduciary processes
  • *Training of the 401(k) Committee
  • *Review or development of committee by-laws, acknowledgement of fiduciary status, etc.
  • *Assistance in developing or revising the Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
  • Assistance in developing or revising Education Policy Statement (EPS)
  • Conducting Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Plan design Assessment
  • Plan Transition Assistance

Periodic Services - Every three to five years

  • Conduct full RFP

Periodic Services - Frequency to be determined

  • Employee Education

Annual Services

  • *IPS Review
  • EPS Review
  • Complete Plan Review
  • Plan Benchmarking
  • 408(b)2 Review (fee analysis)

Quarterly Services: Timing of these services to occur dependent on an agreed upon frequency with Client

  • *Investment monitoring report generation and review
  • *401(k) committee meeting – Parts of this may or may not be fiduciary in nature.
  • *Communication – Meeting minutes and distribution of documents
  • Research and other tasks as needed
