Annual Services

  • Prepare renewal package for presentation to management.
  • Prepare alternatives within the current carrier and prepare quotes from suitable carriers in a concise format.
  • Negotiate for a lower rate.
  • Make plan design recommendations to provide better benefits or to reduce premium.
  • Review certificates to be sure they contain the wording that is most beneficial and so that benefits are not modified unexpectedly when changing carriers.
  • Conduct employee enrollment meetings providing education on plan design, plan changes, how to best utilize benefits offered, Flexible Spending Accounts,
  • Health Savings Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts.
  • Compare networks of various medical plans to find the best match for company locations.
  • Online enrollment is available for initial enrollment with most carriers.
  • Customize information for employees, e.g., how to look up providers for all the carriers and how to read Explanation of Benefits.
  • Assist carriers in producing enrollment kits or prepare custom enrollment documents.
  • Update plan information, rates and enrollment forms with COBRA administrator.

Ongoing Services

  • Concierge level of service working directly with HR and employees as needed to provide assistance in locating in network providers, understanding claims payments and appealing claims as needed.
  • Assist with billing issues. Assist with claims resolution including following up with carriers, emailing or calling employees, and assisting with drafting of letters of appeal.
  • Keeping HR informed of how health care reform and other legislation will impact the group.
  • Healthcare Strategy Builder Software analysis is available to provide a report that lays out the costs and options available to clients as health care reform unfolds.
  • Assist in training HR personnel when new HR assistants are hired.
  • Unlimited access to ThinkHR to help solve complex HR issues. Clients have access to HR Hotline guidance and support, including web based HR Library with HR relation information, forms and documents. HR training is available online as well.
  • Providing a “heads up” when there are changes, e.g., physicians changing locations, pending negotiations between networks and providers and upcoming contract changes.
